What's in a Name?

One of the most frequently asked questions during pregnancy involves the baby's name.  However, most of you know by now we are NOT revealing Baby Strazz's name.  OVER MY DEAD BODY.  His name is important to us and I don't care to hear anyone's opinions about it.  The day I found out I was pregnant I bought a book of 100,000 baby names - the biggest one I could find - and went at it with my trusty yellow highlighter.  I would make a list (WHO? ME? A LIST?!!  Nooooo) and Christopher would narrow it down - repeat this process several times over 8+ months and each time we came down to the same handful of names.  Which we WILL NOT tell you no matter what you say, do, or offer. ;)

Baby Strazz has acquired several nicknames though, which I'd like to share...

1) FLIP - This is what Christopher and I started calling him after our first ultraound.  A mere tadpole at the time, this kid was going nuts.  The ultrasound tech had a hard time getting a profile picture because he was bouncing around so much.  Back and forth...back and forth....kicking, rolling around, doing flips & somersaults.  Hence, FLIP.

2) PHILIPS - Our hospital uses ultrasound machines manufactured by Philips.  So, printed on our ultrasound pictures along with my name, the date, etc., they include the text "Philips."  This is what Papa Joe (Chris' Dad) has deemed him since first seeing the pics.  It's become quite catchy!

3) B.S. - Short for "Baby Strazz," courtesy of my Mum. Also short for a certain profanity. HAHA.

Although these nicknames are fun, we like to tell people his name is Bob.  Why not?  So, for purposes of the next few weeks until the BIG REVEAL, don't be surprised if you hear me refer to him as Bob.
