SIX MONTH UPDATE...

My big boy had his six month checkup today!  He is 17 lbs / 2 oz (43rd percentile) and 27 inches (71st percentile).  He's very strong, growing, & thriving (and has really thick thighs BTW!!).  We're on to two "meals" a day in terms of solids - which means a MASSIVE mess twice a day now.  He's starting to get the concept of putting the spoon in his mouth and helped me feed him dinner last night.  He yells and "talks" quite a bit these days.  It's so funny listening to him.  He's sitting up quite well - often unsupported but sometimes he still topples over...hehe.  He's also reaching for everything and much more mobile...he'll try to squirm his way out of his little Bumbo seat.  Usually at least one arm is always flailing around, banging on something!  He loves his feet...which he started a few months ago but now that he's sitting up it's even more entertaining.  He's very flexible and always manages to pull his socks off now!  He still hates tummy time but seems to like his jumpy swing.  We are also starting swimming and a little "Gym & Learn" class at the local Gymboree.  He's got two bottom teeth and today his Dr. said his top two teeth are coming in, too!  So, the little man is doing excellent (sockless & screeching in my ear as I'm typing...) and is SUCH a happy baby!!
