Cape Weekend!

So we ventured down to the Cape this weekend in order to celebrate the wedding festivities of our longtime friend, the one and only Peter Edwards.

The bride & groom...

Just a taste of how HUGE this wedding was...

A few pics I snapped at reception...but our priority was mainly drinking and hanging with old friends...

The hub being silly when I tried to take yet another pic of us...yes, that is green stuff in his teeth on purpose...

The night was capped off at a "little" gathering back at the brother of the groom's room...where a fog machine...yes I said fog machine...set off the fire alarm for the entire resort and the fire department came.  LOL.
The kiddos were cute as usual and enjoyed time at the beach and time with their cousins and family while Mommy & Daddy partied...

On Sunday morning we headed out with Bentley to meet Mr. & Mrs. B, Auntie Cole, and Uncle Lance for Bentley's first boat ride.  I think Mommy was more excited than anyone to 1) take my babe on his first boat and 2) Enjoy some boating myself.  Bentley whimpered for about 30 seconds when we first brought him on the boat and then it was all smooth sailing!!

We anchored at a nice little beach and set up shop.  Bentley played in the water with Uncle Lance and they took a walk down the beach, Nic and I searched for seashells like nerds, and yes, we enjoyed some very cold and tasty adult beverages in an attempt to rid ourselves of the previous night's hangover ~ which actually worked.

The ice cream boat came just as we were leaving...

And then we headed back to the dock...a bit of a bumpy ride ~ Lance and I sat up front like Jack and Rose and I have to say I love Tole's need for speed.  I LOVE THE BOAT!!!  Bentley sat in the driver's seat with Mrs. B and Daddy until we slowed down coming back into the no wake zone.

He was pretty stinkin' tired on the ride home...

But we had to get ready for DeDe & Dup's birthday dinner at the Seacrest.  Bentley tried fried calamari and clam chowder for the first time and liked it!  Then he really just wanted to eat the pickle that came with his dinner.  Good thing it was relatively slow in there because the kids tore up the restaurant!

GiGi got the great grandkids cookies...and Bentley's was a little car with black frosting tires.  By the time he got into it he had a black frosting Hitler 'stache.  Little Adolf Strazzulla...

We packed up and headed home after a fun weekend...and Bentley crashed as soon as he hit the car...and Mommy crashed at 8PM.

Fun times!!!
