I want to wish a WONDERFUL, AMAZING, HAPPY Wedding Day to one of my dearest loves, Miss Alisa Berretta, soon to be miss Alisa Segerdahl. We are so happy for you and Larson and happy to "officially" welcome him to this crazy group we call our family!
Love you both to pieces!!!
~E, Chris, Bentley, Gracie, & Hurley
P.S. Thanks to DeDe and Dup for watching the kids so we can have a couple of much needed "adult" nights with each other & our friends, and our dear friends (and newlyweds) Phil and Jaci for watching Hurley for us!

Happy Friday!
A Friday laugh...
The other night I was drinking a can of Coke upstairs while watching TV. In the morning while I was getting the kids out of bed I set it on the top banister of the stairs. As we were walking downstairs Bentley proclaimed, "Mommy, don't forget your beer!" LOL. He is too funny these days.

Gracie Girl...
My little girl is growing up...she's taking a lot more steps and moving towards fully walking, she's talking a lot more...in her own little language (she says "Hi," either "goo" or "gaa" is for dog when she see's Hurley), and tonight she started using a fork!
She's getting to be such a big girl! I'm a proud Mama.

I'm in trouble...
This is what happened twice today...
I'm officially screwed. And yes, I paused to take pictures. Mom of the year.

My Sweet Boy
Those close to me know I've had a rough couple of months with dueling infections that I've had a hard time getting cleared up. I spent another night in the ER. Bentley came into my room after his nap, wanted to lay down with me and hold my hand...
Love Love Love this boy.

The 3-Year-Old Continued...
More of Bentley's good stuff these days...
A "pool" is referred to as a "cool."
His "bathing suit" is a "bathing soup."
When he wakes up in the morning and sees Hurley he says, "Hi, buddy, I missed you." Melt my heart.
We have a stone outside on the table that says "Hope" that I got after Hope passed away. Bentley picked it up, asked for Hopie, said "I love you Hopie," and gave it a kiss. OMG.
Every time Grace cries he tells her to "STOP IT" in a louder decibel than she is crying at.
One of his most common phrases to anything is "No, I don't." To pretty much any question or statement.
He is taking on the "pain" of the household. When Grace was sick, when I've been sick with infections the last two months, and when Chris got a virus - he sees us taking medicine and says he doesn't feel good and asks for Tylenol.
I think he's getting a little jealous of Grace's constant need for attention. She clings to me for dear life, cries like a banshee, and would probably crawl back inside me if she could. So now Bentley comes over to me and lays his head in my lap so he can have some snuggles, too during her freak outs.
He does blurt out the occasional "shit" or "damn it" or "god damn it" - and always in context - but I'm really trying to work on my bad mouth. I thought I was doing better until he said "oh shit" in full context the other day. Whoops.

Representing Mommy's Heritage...
Daddy brought home some great Ireland-themed gifts for the kids! Representing Mommy's heritage!
Old Head...
Filling his Guiness piggy bank with "beer money"...
Gracie's hat! (She also has an adorable pink fleece Ireland hoodie.)
I got an awesome jacket from Bally Bunion, one of the top ranked courses in the world. Only the best for the wifey. :) Thanks, Daddy!

Pool Day!
Yesterday Auntie Tory and I brought the kids to Auntie Lisa's pool. Other than a total meltdown by Grace because she wanted me to hold her the whole time, we had fun! (I finally rolled her to sleep in her stroller to buy us some more play time.)
Tor and I in our matching Austin, TX mustache shirts...
A couple of the best friends a girl could ask for, and roomies for life...
Thanks, Auntie Lisi for the invite - we had a blast!

The Ever-Evolving 3-Year-Old...
*Bentley sometimes likes to walk around diaperless and Grace will try to grab his penis. One recent morning with no Grace in sight while I was changing his diaper he asked me "Mommy, Gracie isn't going to grab my penis, right?"
*He asked me for some juice and I told him he could have a little when he finished his milk. SO he walked to the sink, dumped out his milk, and proclaimed "I'm all done!"
*I asked him to come to the table for dinner and he looked right at me and said "I don't hear you."
*"Mommy, you have a mustache like Gampy." Thanks, bud.
*As I'm packing to leave for the Cape one day, I'm running up and down the stairs to keep an eye on the kids while I pack. Well, I came downstairs to find Bentley had found a black permanent marker in the drawer and colored all over the kitchen wall, kitchen cabinet, and countertop. He then proceeded to spin in circles proclaiming "I'm a princess" from one of his favorite shows, Sophia the First.
*Upon leaving for the Cape I packed the car and the kids, and had to go get Hurley from inside. Everything fit in the trunk except I jammed one bag in between the kids' carseats that had my makeup bag, makeup brushes, tampons, and some other odds and ends. Within about two minutes of coming back outside, I saw things being thrown out the window on Bentley's side of the car...a package of face cleaning wipes, a bottle of contact solution...then I looked closer and realized he pulled out my cosmetic brush bag and was throwing my expensive MAC brushes out the window. I dug as many as I could find out of the bushes but my nice brush collection has now dwindled down to about 3-4. On the other side of the car, Gracie was happily playing with two tampons.
*Bentley likes to yell to let me know he's awake in the morning. A few of my favorites...
"Happy Birthdayyyyyyyyyyy!"
"Fourty-nineeeeeeeeeeeee!" (I have no idea why he's chosen this number, and sometimes its 89).
"Hey, have you seen my band aid?!" (He likes to wear band aids for no reason.)
The list will continue and I will continue to share!
~E
He is certainly coming into himself and developing quite the personality!

Gracie Video...
Sorry it's sideways, I couldn't figure out how to turn it. Here's a little video of Gracie talking some steps. She's very excited and Bentley is cheering her on in the background.

15 WEEKS ALREADY?!
Today marks week 15 of Hurley's chemotherapy and his last day of treatment! Despite how utterly devastating his diagnosis has been, I am incredibly grateful to the oncology team at Tufts Animal Hospital for their amazing care. I worried every week dropping him off although I never really needed to - he made such an impression that he, unlike the other dogs, was never crated...he spent his treatment days sitting on the tech's chair, playing with toys, and sitting with the oncologist...
Although they will miss him, they are hoping to NOT see him other than his now once per month check-ups. We brought the oncology team beautiful pink roses & lilies and a thank you card (with a bulldog on it, naturally). It is a bittersweet day - although I am so thankful that he left on his last day of treatment in full remission, I am also terrified of what is potentially to come and how long he will stay in remission. I can only pray EVERY DAY that he will be with us for his next birthday, our next house, and another Christmas to open his presents. This boy has changed my life and made such an impression on my heart and soul since the day we brought him home.
Now every day we will promise...
This boy is my soul's true furmate and I will love him to pieces every moment I have.
Please pray for a LONG LONG LONG remission for our Hurley boy.

15 MONTHS OLD!
Last week Grace was 15 MONTHS OLD!!
She is still NOT WALKING. I am shocked and thought for sure she would walk before Bentley did, which was around 14 months but this girl is stubborn!! As soon as she even senses that you are going to let go of her fingers she plops right to the ground. I do have to say she has a fabulous and efficient one armed scoot that allows her to move around with multiple markers, crayons, and other items she shouldn't have in her hand.
Today we had her 15 month well visit. She is a peanut! She weighs 18 lbs / 15 oz = 17th percentile; her height is 28.75 inches = 4th percentile; her head is 17.75 inches around = 33rd percentile. Due to problems pooping, she mainly drinks fruit juice which I HATE - we very rarely let Bentley have juice to this day, it's milk or water - and the doctor wants me to slowly add more milk to put some bulk on her. I'd rather have her drinking milk but they originally told me to give her juice to help her bowels so that's what we've been doing. Onto milk it is I guess.
She is a picky eater - no solid fruits or veggies, everything is bread-based! She's a carb loader like her Mom and Bentley. She likes the pureed packets of fruits and veggies but if I dare cut up a piece of fruit or a pea to try to get her to eat it she spits it right out. She won't eat cheese plain, but she loves grilled cheese. Anything that involves some type of bread, she will eat like she has a hollow leg. My favorite is when she picks up as much food as she can fit into one fist and then just nibbles off that ball of food she creates.
Bentley starts school early in September. He is doing well and causing a ruckus. Although today I picked him up from camp and when he saw me in the door he shouted with a big smile "MY MOMMYYYYYY!" and came running. Melt my heart - that makes up for how mischievous he's been lately.
