The final product turned out quite delicious...

And Little Miss Ava made a new buddy.  Usually a bit shy towards Hurley, she walked him around on his leash and very much enjoyed his company...

Sunday Morning...

Sunday mornings should be relaxing and low key, right?  This Sunday = WRONG.  What is this shit...ARMAGEDDON?!!!  A tornado rips through the state earlier this summer, Hurricane Irene not long ago, and now a Nor'easter in October!!!!

Chris had dinner with his cousin last night and when he got home I was unconscious in bed with all of the lights on, glasses on, TV on, and then the POWER WENT OUT.  Nooooooooooooooooo!  So we woke up this morning and the power was still out and it was 57 degrees in our house.  We were supposed to spend the day with friends in CT but they also have no power ~ its 55 degrees at their house and the street is covered with down lines so they can't even leave.  Mum and Dad have power so we are here now ~ and by we I mean Bentley and I.  Daddy got called to work, the poor guy never gets a break.  Our friends are powerless because the entire service was ripped off their house, but the electric company won't hook power back up until they have an electrician come reattach the service itself.  AND they have 4 month old twins so the hub is going to help out.  He's also already gotten calls for generators today.  Ay ay ay.  SO Bentley, Hurley, and I are hanging at Grammy and Grampy's.  Grampy made Bentley pancakes and he also had some pumpkin donut...

SO while Daddy's at work we'll be hanging with G&G.  We'll be making Halloween cupcakes later, waiting for power to come back but I don't have a good feeling about this power situation.  It will be some snowy trick-or-treating tomorrow!!!!  Lil man's rocking his "I Love My Mummy" shirt...thanks Auntie JoJo!

Have a snowy pre-Halloween Sunday!

Saturday Surprises

Grampy and Grammy came with a special delivery for Bentley today ~ his Halloween pumpkin!  Since he is being a dinosaur, his pumpkin this year is a dino/monster...

Then Daddy came home with some beautiful surprise flowers for me...

Thanks, Grampy & Christopher!

COMING MAY 2012

Bentley and Hurley are happy to announce that they are going to be big brothers! Baby Strazz #2 is due May 12, 2012 (hopefully sooner since my lil man was 12 days early............).  I am 12 weeks along. We had an ultrasound today and both the ultrasound tech & Dr. are guessing that BS2 is a GIRL. BUT they will confirm at my 18 week ultrasound.  Funny thing is that at Bentley's 12 week ultrasound we nicknamed him "Flip" because the kid wouldn't stop moving, rolling, and flipping in circles ~ we were in there forever in order for them to get the proper measurements and pictures because he wouldn't stop moving.  Today, Baby #2 just chilled there and we were done in no time!

On the pregnancy front, I was SICK AS HELL (hence that whole hosptial visit thing I told you about a few weeks back...) and caved in for nausea meds at 7 weeks.  With Bentley I lasted until 13 weeks and then was still sick most of my pregnancy.  The meds have been helping as long as I remember to take them...DUH...they are a LIFESAVER.  I was getting pretty sick of yaking in plastic bags in my car or dashing to the bathroom to boot what little I could hold down.  Otherwise, just very tired and hoping to turn that corner soon.

We are very grateful for the love and support of our families and friends during this exciting time!  We love you all!

YAY for Baby Girl (*We think*) Strazz!

Shiner!

So Bentley has a mystery shiner ~ as a "responsible" Mom (I'm using the term loosely here...) I have no idea where it came from.  He woke up from his nap screaming like a ptroydactyl...which is par for the course lately...and about an hour + later at the store he had a nice little shiner that I noticed.  My poor bugger!!

I comforted his non-pain with a bit of pumpkin donut because he LOVES it.  I am now going to hang my head in irresponsible Mom shame...BUT this probably only the first of many times my sweet boy will bang himself up...

The Last Few Days...

On Thursday we had dinner for Uncle Greg, who is heading to New York City on a work transfer.  The kiddies had on their matching Halloween jammies, naturally...

The hubby headed away for the weekend on a manly golf weekend.  In the meantime, Bentley stayed with Grammy and Grampy while I headed with friends to a Halloween party in Salem.  Yes, we're 30 and still have Halloween parties.  I dressed up as Snooki and we walked around Salem common for bit which was fun and weird at the same time, then we headed to the par-tay.  There were some GOOD costumes, let me tell you...

This morning we woke up and my two remaining boys and I headed to Hopkinton State Park for the Baypath Humane Society's fundraiser 5K.  It was a nice event to benefit guys like little Munster here who sadly don't have forever homes...

Now let's not get crazy - Auntie JoJo and I WALKED while Auntie Kris ran.  Hurley, Penny, Otis, and Boston got some exercise and got to visit with LOTS of dogs.  As we approached the finish line Uncle Kev had told them to announce Bentley's name so "coming into the finish line now we have Bentley Strazzullaaaaaaaaa...put your hands up Bentleyyyy..." came over the loudspeaker ~ it was adorable.  Bentley had fun looking at all the dogs and fell asleep in the car on the way home, and he visited with his GF Sam...

Hurley wore his new sweater that I bought him at the cutest lil pet boutique in Salem - yes, he is SPOILED (he also got a Halloween and a Christmas collar)...

Bentley napped this afternoon while Auntie Adrienne came over and we assembled her wedding Save the Dates.  More pics of that later if she lets me share more with you because she is a VERY crafty one, that Age...

We are very happy to have Daddy home.  VERY HAPPY.  Some takeout for dinner, a movie, and some quiet time.  This week October organization continues ~ the cleaning ladies are coming on Tuesday and I have some new storage for the office coming also on Tuesday so this weekend we will be re-organizing the entire office.  Very exciting.  And we are very excited for Halloween coming up ~ here's a sneak peek...

That's all for now!  NA-NIGHT!
