ROOM REVEAL: MASTER BATHROOM

When we looked at our home in 2006 before we purchased, the master bathroom was non-existent.  Literally.  It had been gutted completely ~ the only things we had going for us were the rough plumbing and some nice Thomasville cabinets that were already installed.  As soon as we moved in this was the first project we tackled.  Here is what it looked like before...

And here it is now...

It was nice that we were able to pick our own tile and countertops because when it comes to that kind of stuff, people have some BAD taste (no, I'm not afraid to say that!).  We kept it neutral with some textured porcelain tile - an inexpensive way to get the look of stone.  We were SO lucky that our master had been gutted for a HUGE shower...

And here she is today, with a nice big rain showerhead...

The couple that lived here before us had planned on installing a claw-foot tub and it had been plumbed for, but we opted to just have our walk-in shower and leave out the tub for the time being.  We can always add one later on since the plumbing is already there; and we do have another tub in the house.

I LOVE this bathroom!  OH, and yes, it is Granny Smith Apple green!
