The Good Life...

So we just got back from a long weekend in the Cape for the holiday.  I took the boys down on Friday afternoon and the usual hour and twenty minute drive became two and a half hours with the weekend traffic.  The hub had to work so he met us there on Saturday night.  We had a fun weekend...

Friday
After the long car ride, Bentley went down for a nap at DeDe and Dup's...

When we woke up he went exploring and played trains with Tyler...

He had a relaxing bottle before bed...

Saturday
Saturday morning started with playtime in the yard at the water table...

He hung out with Hurley, Auntie, and GiGi...

After all of the babes napped we headed down to the beach for low tide.  Although not his first time at the beach, it was his first time in the Atlantic and the munchkin did pretty well!  He froze up and fussed at first but once he got used to the water all was A-OK...

We got back to the house, got cleaned up, and waited for Daddy to arrive...

And he got there just in time for some snuggles and a bottle before bed (but Bentley wanted Daddy's beer)...

Sunday
Sunday morning I got some love from Bentley and Little Miss Ava...

Bentley played with his breakfast plum and then enjoyed a bottle "lazy" style...

We hit the backyard for a bit...

And went down to the dock in the wagon, where we saw a crab underwater...

Hurley got some TLC from Daddy, too...

The kids got cleaned up and Bentley enjoyed DeDe's mac & cheese for dinner...

Monday
On Monday morning Ava entertained us with her cuteness, then watched Uncle Chris and Dup change some trims...

Bentley rocked his 4th of July "USA" muscle shirt!!  The kids played, Bentley enjoyed his first marshmellow and then a bottle with Dup...

 

 

The hub and I rested on the couch while Uncle Greg taught Bentley about muscle shirts...

And THE POT!!!

And then we decided to take it to the next level and really get crazy with the "baby in a pot"...

Bentley played in the water table again...

Had some juice at the counter...

And after everyone else headed home we went for an evening beach visit with DeDe and Dup...

Hurley was so tired and delierious that he hid under a bed upstairs to catch some zzz's...

TUESDAY:
I woke up Tuesday morning to a sick baby and after breakfast at the new cafe around the corner we packed up the car and headed home!

It was a great long weekend at the Cape...we'll be back soon!
