Punkins!!!

I made some pumpkins for the kids this year - including Hurley.  They are painted, glittered, lettered, blinged out...

Gracie's is high gloss white with a metallic silver stem that I also put silver glitter paint on.  She has a pink "G" that is blinged out.  Then I sprayed the whole thing with glitter.

Bentley picked out his own pumpkin with DeDe and Duppy and I just gave it a little overhaul.  It's covered in a pearl/iridescent paint and the stem is covered in black glitter.  The glittered black "B" also has two little black motorcycles on it since he's so into cars & bikes these days.

Hurley gets his own pumpkin, too!  His I painted metallic gold and the stem is black glitter.  The "H" is white with black glitter paint.  I found two little buttons of dogs with floppy ears and bones so I painted them gold, dabbed their noses with silver glitter, and here it is!

These are nothing compared to the pumpkins I know Gampy is going to show up with though!

ROBIN'S EGG BLUE SIDE TABLE ($75)
This is a three tiered side table. It was first painted white and then robin's egg blue, so when distressed multiple colors show through. It is finished with a clear wax. Table measures 24 inches tall by 24 inches wide (along the longest point at the back of table) by 12 inches deep. The two lower shelves measure 19 inches wide/long by 9 and 1/2 inches deep.

MINT GREEN END TABLE ($95)
This is a two tiered end table. It is painted white, then finished with a granny smith green color. It is heavily distressed so several layers/colors show through. It is finished with a clear wax. It is 29 inches tall and the square top measures 23 and 1/2 inches by 23 and 1/2 inches. The bottom shelf measures 17 and 1/2 inches by 17 and 1/2 inches.

SMALL WHITE SIDE TABLE ($65)
This is a two tiered side table. It is painted white, lightly distressed, and finished with a clear wax. Interesting detail on the front and sides of this table. It measures 22 and 1/2 inches tall. The top tier is 24 inches long by 12 inches deep; the bottom shelf is 7 inches deep.

VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL STOOL ($40)
This is as true vintage piece with the rust to prove it! I chose to leave the rust/wear on the base of the piece and paint the top white, distress, and finish with a clear wax. The stool is 24 inches tall by 13 and 1/2 inches in diameter.

Wicker Tray Transformation

I picked up this wicker tray w/leather handles (an old pyrex dish holder) on eBay...

I painted it with a couple of coats of primer (the base is cork...), a sea glass green color, and then a couple of zig zag "chevron-type" stripes in metallic gold. I decided to line the inside with vintage mother of pearl buttons and added a few sand dollars to accent it as well...

Gallery Wall

I love a gallery wall like the rest of us.  These pics are courtesy of Pinterest but I don't have original sources...

I am obsessed with family photos and both of our parents had old family pics just sitting in boxes.  When I was pregnant with Bentley my project at night when I couldn't sleep was to frame them.  I ran them up my staircase and along my upstairs wall, and just added more on the remaining blank wall.  The previous count before the most recent additions was about 75 total!!!  That's a lot of frames to try & keep straight!

There is one blank frame you may notice, which I'm holding for a special picture of Gracie in a couple of years in the Cape!

Birthday Party Decor

I went for a vintage car theme for this year's party since Bentley is OBSESSED with cars.  The sign, little vintage car props in the flower arrangements, hat, banner, and cake topper came from Mary Had a Little Party on Etsy.  The rest...I did myself...all the little stamped "2" signs for tables & flowers, the little red signs for gifts, etc., the checkered flags, the hand dipped pretzels, the popcorn favors, the flowers...

Back yard...(I have to note that I HATE these chairs and will never rent them again...I should have gone with the 'wedding white' wooden chairs instead of this plastic supposed-to-be-white crap)...
