Missoni

I love Missoni - LOVE LOVE LOVE Missoni prints.  I love it on Nicole Richie, who frequently rocks the designer looks:

I would LOVE anything Missoni on myself if it wasn't so G.D. expensive.  I am a scarf whore and would LOVE to have this Missoni scarf in my FAV color (this lil number is actually affordable)...

I am always poking around Etsy for vintage designer pieces and I had scored a beautiful silk Missoni scarf last year, which I tied onto my purse for a pop of color.  Well, some lucky person at my local Target scored bigtime because it fell off in the parking lot.  BOOOO.  :(  You can find some authentic Missoni pieces though.  This vintage Missoni dress from the Etsy shop Fabuka...

And this vintage Missoni purse also from Fabuka...

I recently found this shop on Etsy called OLA Collection that makes Missoni Versatility Scarves - multi-function scarves from Missoni fabrics, and unlike 99% of other Missoni pieces you won't have to re-mortgage your house...and they come in tons of pretty Missoni fabrics & colors...

Missoni also has a home division and if I hit the lottery I would cover my house with their home designs.  Everything from bedding to throw pillows to rugs to bath & dining linens, their pieces look like CANDY with amazing prints and colors.  Ever seen The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo TV?  She has several Missoni pieces in her home, including her bedding.  One place I've found that carries a variety of Missoni home products is ALL MODERN.  I LOVE it all but here are some of my absolute FAVs...

The Janet Embroidered Bedspread & the Jo Bedding Collection...

They have several cushion collections, here are a few - Kew, Master Classico, and Passiflora...

The Josh Throw...

The Tappeti Winnipeg Contemporary Rug & Tappeti Liuwa Contemporary Rug...

The Giacomo Bath Mat...

I found some pieces at Amazon.com as well, and if you do a quick Google search it is really easy to find places that carry both Missoni clothing/accessories as well as Missoni Home.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE their graphic prints and bold colors.  I am imagining white or light gray walls, lots of white & modern pieces, cool metallic accessories, mixed with some really rustic and antiquey feeling white-washed pieces.  YUM.  Anywho...need another house for this vision...

Fine Featherheads!

I'm really excited about this people - REALLY EXCITED!  Through a friend of a friend, I just discovered these little gems...

{**All photos above are courtesy of Fine Featherheads**}

They are called FINE FEATHERHEADS!  And FINE they are!  Well, I think so at least!  Click here to check out some of the other pictures in their photo gallery.

My friend's friend got them in Portsmouth, NH so I did some investigating and found several salons that do them there, but that was really the closest place to me.  But I did find the name of a woman who will come to your home and do 'feather parties' ~ selling bundles of feathers as well as putting them in your hair.  I was on my way to planning a party whennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...I found out that my local spa/salon that I go to for everything except my actual haircut/color (been loyal to my hairdresser for 10+ years...) is going to start carrying them!  They are on order and will be only 15 minutes from me very soon!!!!

There are lots of colors to choose from but from the pics I've seen I really like the variety of natural ones.

There are pinks, purples, mints & greens, blues & turquoises, reds, yellows, & oranges...every color you could imagine.  Their website has a cute pic of a little girl who had a couple of pink ones put in her hair.  And on the not-so-cute side, there were some pictures of dogs with them in their hair?? Seriously?  You all know how much we love Hurley but that is where I DRAW.THE.LINE.

I've heard they can last anywhere from 1 to 6 months, and you can wash, dry, and style them.  So, I'm SOLD, and desperately waiting for them to arrive at my local spa...I'm waitingggggggggggggggggg...

La Posh Style

I was looking at one of the blogs I follow earlier this week (can't remember which one now, there are so many good ones...) and came across the store La Posh Style.  This adorable clothing/accessories shop was founded just last month, in October 2010, by a photographer who wanted to emphasize the importance of choosing outfits for photoshoots.  With that in mind, the shop features unique clothes with beautiful colors and lots of texture, all at reasonable prices (for real...they are affordable!).  It reminds me a bit of Anthro (there I go, back to Anthropologie AGAIN!) - adorable ruffled cardigans, cute dresses, and cool boots.  They are new to me so I wanted to share!
