We had a GREAT Christmas as usual!  We are so lucky to have such wonderful family to make it special every year, but of course this year it was EXTRA special since it was our first Christmas with Baby B!

Christmas Eve Pics!

We had a wonderful Christmas!  On Christmas Eve, first we stopped at Grammy & Grampy's to visit Grampy while Grammy was at work...

The Stockings Were Hung...

The wrapping is done, the house is still a mess, but I am so EXCITED for Bentley's first Christmas!  It is so exciting that I get to be a kid again and enjoy the holidays, and life in general, though this amazing little guy's eyes.  The tree is full of presents and the stockings are hung...

We are watching my favorite Christmas cartoons this morning - How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  Then we'll get ready to go to our cousins' for the afternoon and D-D and Dup's tonight.  AND before bed we will be SURE to read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to Baby B...even if he's already sleeping by the time we get home!  Tomorrow we have a big day with family at Grammy & Grampy's.  There is even snow on the ground! 
 
Some of my FAVORITE Christmas "things" and traditions that I now get to share with Bentley...or start up again for his sake...and some of the things I am so excited about for the next few days (in random order)...

- This should go without saying...spending time with family & friends...and now Baby B gets to enjoy the holiday time with everyone!
- Auntie Alisa is home from Mexico and Baby B finally gets to meet her!
- The MOVIES!  My favorites: White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, Home Alone
- The cartoon movies, too...How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (I pretty much know the Grinch & 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by heart!)
- We get to start reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to Bentley!
- DEAN MARTIN "Baby It's Cold Outside!" (And other Christmas songs but this is our FAV)
- The smell of the Christmas tree..and the food!
- Christmas lights & decorations - when I was younger, we used to drive around and count how many houses we saw with lights...I can't wait for Baby B to be able to enjoy all of the lights and decorations!

Just a Few Fun Pics...

Lots been going on this week - Bentley had been sick as I mentioned, then I got it, then the hubby was sick.  Then I felt like crud again.  So in the midst of illnesses I finally finished my last Christmas errands (last night), but I have YET to wrap a single present.  If anyone wants to see what they're getting, just swing in unexpectedly today and take a gander at my dining room table.  AND the house looks like a tornado came through so if my little man allows, I will be able to pick up around this joint today.  OH, and to top it off "we" are experiencing our first tooth!

Anywho, wanted to share a few fun pics before the big weekend ~ we are very excited for Bentley's first Christmasssssssssssss!!!  For me, it is an excuse to enjoy some of my old favorite traditions and movies - we watched Frosty the Snowman & Twas the Night Before Christmas already, and we watched the Grinch (cartoon version is the BEST!) last night.  I got to watch some of White Christmas last night, and I am anxiously awaiting It's a Wonderful Life, which I think is on tomorrow night so I will DVR - it's my FAVVVVVVVORITE.  Tomorrow night, Christmas Eve, I am looking forward to reading Bentley Twas the Night Before Christmas from my childhood book.  Am I cheesy?  YES!

MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT!!

It's no secret that we LOVE our dog A LOT.  He is our other son, our four-legged baby.  We knew that when we brought Bentely home, Hurley would still be just as much a part of the family as always.  Hurley has been so incredible with his new brother it warms my little heart.  THIS IS WHAT MAKES MY SPIRITS BRIGHT EVERY DAY!!! (In addition to my wonderful hubby but he doesn't like it when I post pics of him...ily)

Since Bentley first came home, Hurley has been a very attentive and gentle big brother, always on guard...

Sometimes curious but still gentle!

 

Sometimes they dress alike (NOT on purpose but when I realized Bentley was in his camouflage outfit while Hurley had his favorite jacket on, of course I took pics)... 

Lately they have been quite cuddly together...it makes me MELT!!

This is what makes my spirits bright these days!!!!
