A LITTLE INSPIRATION.
Folks, I realize I haven't been around for awhile. Today I needed to take a moment, STOP, and share this beautiful boy with you. Through Hurley's cancer/lymphoma diagnosis I have had the privilege of meeting dog lovers all over the country who are dealing with similar situations to ours ~ Hurley has friends from NY to CA. But one special little man in particular takes the cake. Griffin was rescued from death row by Long Island Bulldog Rescue (LIBR) and adopted by Lisa & Chris Bassett in Maine. He is a special needs bully with Swimmers Syndrome, and you will see from these two videos that he is SO SO SO special in more ways one. He stole my heart along with the hearts of nearly 12,000 Facebook friends all over the world…he has his own shirts (yes, I have several!) and has even been on the news. A celebrity bully! I talk to his Mum Lisa on a regular basis and we share our cancer experiences - Griffin was diagnosed with lymphoma and (from the cancer perspective) had a similar journey to Hurley's. He fought back from a near-death infection recently but sadly passed away at home yesterday with his family. He was only 5 years old but he had one amazing life and blessed so many of us with his story. He leaves an entire BULLY NATION completely devastated. Please watch Griffin's amazing, inspirational story...
Watch Griffin's video here.
Here is Griffin's story.
Always be GRIFFIN STRONG. We love you G & we will honor your legacy in any little way we can. What would the BOSS do? He would be strong. We will certainly honor April 3rd in your passing & April 5th as National GRIFFIN Day, buddy!
***The first video was created by Griffin's Mum Lisa and the second you'll see is a news video…I am merely sharing…***
